Tommy C. Arnold

Tommy Arnold joined founder Waring Boys in 1983, following seventeen years of experience with a large multinational corporation, where his experience included serving as Treasurer and managing two of the larger operating divisions. His experience also includes extensive work in the areas of investment banking, corporate finance, investor relations, pension fund and corporate cash management, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to the merger with AMG National Trust, Tommy served as a Director of Boys, Arnold & Company for 35 years. He is a wealth counselor and helps guide the firm’s strategic direction.
Tommy graduated from the University of North Carolina and received an MBA from the Wharton Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania. He achieved the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC).
Dudley B. Brickhouse

Dudley Brickhouse brings his expertise, credentials and extensive experience to the Boys Arnold team working as a wealth counselor in our Hilton Head office.
Dudley holds a Masters of Management with a Financial Concentration degree and a Bachelors of Industrial Engineering degree from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. This unique combination of education fueled Dudley’s outstanding performance within three national financial institutions for over 15 years.
Having joined our team in 2014, Dudley is fully embracing the community and culture of the Low Country, including growing engagement with both its professional and civic organizations.
Suzanne L. Carver

Suzanne Carver joined the firm in 2018 and is currently an Account Administrator. Suzanne brings with her 14-years of corporate office management and administrative experience. She is highly organized and focuses her efforts on enhancing our clients’ experience.
Suzanne is originally from Atlanta and relocated to Western North Carolina in 2002. She is currently furthering her education at Western Carolina University while working at Boys Arnold.

Laura Clark joined the firm in 2013 as a receptionist assisting in a variety of administrative duties with an emphasis on client services. Prior to joining the firm, she spent the majority of her career working in the airline industry in the areas of human resources, public relations, and in flight service and training.
Laura is from Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota. She has a passion for competitive figure skating and has previously worked as a coach and choreographer.
Stanley H. Cocke

Stan Cocke joined the firm in 1999 following a 26-year career serving high net worth clients for a major North Carolina-based bank. At Boys Arnold, Stan focuses his efforts on the management of client services, including the development of services extending beyond financial planning and portfolio management.
Stan received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina and participated in numerous financial professional development programs during the course of his banking career.
Fred F. Groce, Jr.

Asheville native Fred Groce joined the firm in 2007 following a 38-year career in banking. Fred retired in 2004 as the President of the western region of a large regional bank. He joined Boys Arnold in 2006 as a senior consultant with special emphasis in the areas of marketing and client relations.
Fred is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA degree, holds a graduate degree in Banking from Rutgers University, and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Business Executive Program. He continues to serve Western North Carolina in a variety of civic organizations.
T. Tyler Howard

Tyler joined Boys Arnold as a Financial Analyst in 2020. He works closely with clients and wealth counselors to gather data and create financial plans. Prior to joining Boys Arnold, Tyler was a Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors.
Tyler received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and an MBA from Liberty University. He also holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
Tyler is also involved in the community and is the Head Varsity Men’s Basketball coach at Carolina Day School.
Sue A. Kersbergen
Sue Kersbergen joined Boys Arnold in 2018 and is a wealth counselor.
Prior to joining Boys Arnold, Sue was the Chief Financial Officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina. Her career also includes 17 years at a national bank where she was a Senior Vice President.
Sue holds a degree in Accounting from Florida State University and completed her graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Belk College of Business, earning an MBA. She is a CPA in the state of North Carolina and is a member of the NCACPA.

Eric Magnin has lived and worked on Hilton Head Island since 1998, having started his career with a major US bank on the island. As a wealth counselor for Boys Arnold since 2016, Eric brings to the firm his extensive experience and expertise in wealth planning and investment advisory strategies for multi-generational families and owners of closely held entities.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Marketing concentration from West Virginia University. As a longtime resident of Hilton Head Island, Eric is involved in numerous professional, civic and charitable organizations.
Meg M. McFaddin

Meg joined Boys Arnold in 2017 as the receptionist. She brings broad experience to the receptionist position and supports the account administrators. Meg began her career in library automation and transitioned into financial services while living in Boston.
A native of Oak Ridge, Meg graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science.

Monique McGlynn joined the firm in 2016 as an Account Administrator. She is responsible for supporting our clients and wealth counselors in the Hilton Head market. Monique joined the firm with 15 years of financial administration experience with a national bank.
Monique was born and raised in the Bahamas and relocated to southern Florida in her late teens. She has been a resident of the Low Country since 2005.

Ron Norris has managed the firm’s data processing and information systems since 1989, overseeing systems used for client account management, securities information, and research.
Ron holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. He is a native of Western North Carolina and an Eagle Scout.
Heather K. Reed
“We develop close relationships with our clients and keep in touch with their goals and lives. I like what we stand for – we don’t just pay lip service to our values.”
Heather Reed joined the firm in 1998 and is engaged in the administration of client accounts. She is in charge of opening new accounts, as well as many other administrative duties. Heather came to Boys Arnold after serving in medical administration.
Heather graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Business Administration and Law.
John P. Rhodin

John Rhodin joined Boys Arnold in 1992 and currently serves as a wealth counselor to a diverse group of clients. Prior to Boys Arnold, he spent three years as a credit analyst with a major regional bank.
John holds a degree in Economics and a degree in Finance from the University of Calgary. He completed his graduate work at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business, earning an MBA in Finance. He has achieved designations of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
Courtney A. Rossi

Courtney Rossi joined the firm in 2018 and is currently an Account Administrator that brings much enthusiasm to her client interactions. Prior to joining the our team, Courtney was in the hospitality industry for 7 years. She went to school locally and has lived in Asheville over 20 years.
Courtney is currently furthering her education as an adult learner while working at Boys Arnold.
Jon L. Vannice

Jon Vannice serves Boys Arnold clients as a wealth counselor, in addition to providing leadership in fixed income securities and developing financial plans. Prior to joining the firm in 1992, he spent nine years in trust and investment management in both private investment counsel and national bank settings.
Jon received a B.S. in Business Administration from the Ohio State University and an MBA from Miami University of Ohio. He is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School, sponsored by the American Bankers Association, and served many years on their faculty. He also has taught at the Southern Trust School and in the Certified Financial Planner program at Queen’s College in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He holds the designations of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA). Jon is an Eagle Scout and has been involved in scouting with local Troops and the District Board.
David C. Whilden

David Whilden joined Boys Arnold in 2001 with 18 years of experience working for two North Carolina-based banks. He serves as a Senior Trust Officer, overseeing the administration of trust accounts, and as a wealth counselor.
David graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and also earned a Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University School of Law. He is a member of the Land of the Sky Estate Planning Council and serves on the Boards of Directors of several Asheville-area civic and educational organizations.
