History
Over the years, clients have come to rely on our expertise, exceptional service, and disciplined approach to wealth management.
Boys, Arnold & Company was founded in 1977 by Waring Boys, an experienced investment counselor who pioneered independent investment counsel in western North Carolina. Six years later, Tommy Arnold joined the firm and together, the two partners developed a top-notch wealth management organization specifically designed to deliver solutions for affluent individuals, families and institutions.
The company grew to prominence with its comprehensive, strategic approach and its exemplary level of client service. In 1996, a second office was opened on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
As a natural extension to the offering, Boys, Arnold Trust Company (BATC) was formed in 2000, expanding the menu of services offered to meet the broad fiduciary needs of clients.
On June 1, 2020, Boys Arnold finalized its merger with AMG National Trust, and our two offices (Asheville and Hilton Head Island) became part of the AMG family. We’re excited about this merger as it expands the solutions and resources we can offer to clients. View merger details
